This programme is ONLY suitable for people who are already using Helicopter Stories in their setting. It does not offer training in the Helicopter Stories approach.

This programme contains all the training, information, and resources practitioners need to introduce Helicopter Stories to the parents and carers of the children they work with. Trisha Lee takes you through, step by step, the best ways to share this incredible approach, so that parents and carers are inspired to use it too. This programme is suitable for schools or settings regularly using Helicopter Stories and wanting parents and carers to use the approach at home.

It includes:

  • A training video – to train practitioners in how to share this approach with parents
  • A session plan for sharing acting out with parents
  • A workshop plan for sharing Helicopter Stories with parents
  • A Hints and Tips Sheet to handout (printable and digital)
  • A Leaflet for parents and carers (printable or digital)
  • 3 videos for practitioners to share with parents, containing footage of parents using this approach with their children
  • A link and unique password for parents to view the 3 videos at home

Excellent programme

We've had huge success rolling out Helicopter Stories in our 3-4s room of our nursery. Children are so keen to engage. We've seen them grow in confidence over the year to the point where in Summer Term every single one of our children were able to tell a story in our forest story circle because of the input they've had week in, week out making up their own stories and listening to their peers.

Excited to use HS at home!

We have a parents meeting booked in for after half-term and we are excited to share Helicopter Stories at home with them. We have found the resources really useful and straightforward to use- Thank you! The videos will be great to share with parents as part of the meeting and we plan to use the handouts for the parents to take home. We will keep you updated with how it goes 🙂
